Been mucking around with this a bit lately,
I have a Hauppauge DVB-S card, this records straight from satellite to the PVA format.
I demux this with PVASTRUMENTO to mpeg 2 - .mpv and .mpa file. At the end, the length of the video and audio files created are only out by thousandths of a second.
Next, I use TMPGENC wizard (VCD template) - select the .MPV and .MPA, leave everything else on default, and wait a couple of hours.
Fantastic picture quality, but the audio usually seems to be behind by upto a second. i.e. picture shows door closing - sound of door closing follows a second later.
what am I doing wrong ???
thanks,
EMKAY!
