I just made a VCD of Rush Hour 1. Now as I played it on my DVD player, the sound was a second off from the film. I could tell as they were speaking. I refered to my MPG on my computer, and it was fine. Why is this? I used TMPGEnc and Nero.

was this a dvdrip or a downloaded avi? if it was a downloaded avi then you need to use vdub a strip the audio before encoding.

the easiest fix and one that wokrs 99% of the time is to rip the audio from the avi with vdub then encode with tmgenc and use the ripped audio as the audio source, should be in sync then, like i said, this is a common problem with downloaded divx files.
