    Hi,

    My friend wanted a film on DVD as he coud not get it on Euro DVD...i found a copy of this film but it says it will only play on multi regional...does this mean it is no good to him???sorry i really don't have a clue about any of this so this may be a totally dumb question!

    This type of statement is usually given when you are buying on-line from a country other than your own. It is a warning that your player must be able to play DVDs form other regions to play the disc. For example, the UK is region 2. The US is region 1. If you buy a US disc to play in the UK and your player is a region 2 player, it will not play. Most players either are region free or can be made region, although there is a still a solid block of players that are resolutely region locked. If this DVD is important enough to your friend then they should buy a cheap region free player if their own player cannot play the disc. I have never owned (nor will I own) a region locked player.
