I am new here

I am hoping any of you guys are familiar or know about a program called hardata - http://www.hardata.com/hdxvideo_s.asp

I am looking for an alternative of that program, I collaborate for a small TV station in Colombia and my main situation is that I do not have a centralized database of my videos with "tags" and such for easy searching and playing...

I would love to be able to buy Hardata howerver the price is way to high for me... I was hoping anyone knew an alternative for windows/mac or unix/linux/freebsd which I would be able to put into a production enviroment...

Any help would be great.
