    Hello,
I am pretty sure this has been asked before but I would appreciate it if anyone can help me.

I bought my DVD Burner (Samsung SH-S182M) like a few years ago, it pretty much burns anything (except Blu-ray)
Now I need to burn a DVD-DL disc,

I checked the manufacturer's website (i got the latestest firmware) it doesn't say DVD-DL, however it does says it can burn DVD-R (DUAL) , i was wondering if its the same thing.

I got the the drive from newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151136&Tpk=SH-S182M

    - My question is, if i were to buy DVD-DL blank discs, is it supported (read/write)?

    Thanks,

I am not sure where you got (DUAL), but if you check specification on link you gave it will burn DVD/DL.

    Welcome to the forums.

Yes, as tinker says your burner can burn DL media. However, we strongly recommend that you use ONLY Verbatim DVD+R DL discs (get the Made In Singapore ones if you can) and that you ONLY use the free program ImgBurn for burning. If you use any other type of disc or burning program you may have problems. And if you try to save money by burning cheaper DL discs than Verbatim, you will learn the hard way that any savings are gone when you have to throw away discs that didn't burn properly.
