  1. I have just come across the ads about Ulead Videostudio5/DVD version on some computer mags.This version comes with DVD plug-in for DVD authoring. Can anyone tell me if I will be able to make vcd/svcd from DVDs with this software.The software boosts that it allow to use the MPEG-2 format. Iam a newcomer in this field, can someone help me how to copy s/vcd from dvds please.Any ideas will be most welcome..thanx..

    Check the guides under "How To" on the left of the site. Video Studio 5 with the DVD plugin can be used in the final part of making a VCD. First you "rip" the DVD which extracts the video or VOB files. Then you encode these to mpeg format which can be made compatible for VCDs or SVCDs. Finally, you burn these files to CD-R. I have used the DVD plugin to do this last step.

    Check the guides. They are very good, and most of the software is freeware.
