  1. ok how can i use winamp to extract audio to a uncommpressed wav file.
    people say you can due this to fix sync problems. but how i have winamp but i cant save anything... what version do i need?

  2. Demux the audio from your video.

    Load the audio file (should be MPEG-1 Layer 2 audio) with Winamp.

    Change the output plug-in to the "Disk Writer" plug-in.

    Press play.

  3. Err, and make sure your auto-repeat is off... :)

    Long ago I ran into a file that took "forever" to save... I can still feel the pain from the slap on the forhead when I saw auto-repeat was turned on...

  5. Just a quick one on the subject: AVI2VCD comes packaged with a small utility called Decompress, which will do wonders in generating an AVI that contains uncompressed audio (works even when VDUB does not).
    Use the audio from that file as audio source for TMPGENC and there you go.
