problem with mencoder (capturing ntsc video)

I'll be so Thankfull if you guide me ;
I want to capture NTSC video from a composite input .
I use mencoder i face an error ,see :

no,
but the word is used in my local dialect, as are many other foreign words...

so in fact you do not have mencoder...

mplayer is one thing and mencoder another...
see if you can get a package of it.

i'm on windows, so i can't really help you out.
should find a package here though:
http://www.debian-multimedia.org/pool/main/

probably best to compile your own.
but that can often be painful.
