DMFCheck error question

I have a DivX file which has XSUB subtitles.
When I run it through DMFCheck it gives error on almost all subtitles.
The error is:

DMFCHECK_ERROR 41008: Check Title Subtitles.:: Two pixel horizontal border not reserved in frame at <some number>

Any idea what this error means?

Answering my own question.

After doing many experiments it appears that DMF requires that subtitle bitmaps have a 2-pixel wide borders on the left and right sides.
The borders are transaparent and are in addition to the textual content of subtitle bitmap.
This is nowhere mentioned in the DMF SDK. It only mentions that the bitmap must have even width and height.
