Hello all,
Im new to video recording and need a maybe complex setup. I travel a lot all over and always stuck holding the camera in one hand and not being able to do anything. My goal to place a video camera in the strap of this bag:
http://www.ebags.com/patagonia/atom/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=119148&productid=...eID=NXTAG00001
Or one like it.
Now I need something small enough to fit there. Also, I need the electronics to be able to be stored in the backpack. So the lense up front stuff out back. Finally, I need it to record pretty much 8 hours a day? So its just running. I can charge batterys at night ect.
Min res 720x480
So anyone have any ideas?

If you don't need a DV video type output, then there are quite a few options. If you want the camera to be somewhat stealth, then take a look here for some ideas for a micro DVR: http://www.supercircuits.com/Recorders/Micro-DVRs/ Couple this with a micro camera similar to these: http://www.supercircuits.com/Security-Cameras/Micro-Video-Cameras/ Lots other options available there.

If you want a full camcorder type solution, then some of the small ones that record to USB cards are another option. Similar to the above options, but a bit more obvious. I'm thinking something similar to this: http://us.sanyo.com/entertainment/cameracorder/index.cfm?productID=1512
