    Readers,

I'm having a problem that's driving me insane. I work at a internet TV station in The Netherlands. And were using Sony HDV camera's that
uses the well known AVCHD format. Shown as: .M2tS
When i want to use this files in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 the footage plays like a charm. But the audio is scrambled. It's a bunch of
noise and grainy sounds. First i tought it had something to do with the way i recorded it. But when i played the file in VLC media player
the audio just played fine, no noise or grain. When i play it in Windows Media Player it shows my footage but no audio.

Basiclly the situation is like this:
Adobe Premiere PRO CS4 - Footage: Fine Audio: Scrambled
Windows Media Player - Footage: Fine Audio: No Audio.
VLC media player - Footage: Fine Audio: Fine

I shot the footage on Memory pro stick duo (8gig and 16gig)

The strange part is that some of the footage i recorderd earlyer is playing fine. No scrambled audio. It looks like it depends
on what camera i use. Since we use two same type camera's this shouldn't be a problem.
Does anyone recognize this problem? Please help me out If you need any further information just let me know in reply.
    Thanks in advance.

    Friso.

What format is the audio? It sounds like you are missing a system audio codec. VLC uses it's own codecs, so it can play most anything. MediaInfo should tell you the codec the file uses.

    And welcome to our forums.

    Hi Redwudz.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

    MediaInfo tells me:

    Videostream: AVC
    Audiostream: PCM

Mediainfo offers me a videocodec but no audio codec. Further information:

    1536 kbs - 48.0 khz - 16 bit - 2 channels - Blu-ray - Big/singed

May i assume that the audio is not missing like in it isn't recorded or usable. But it's just a digital problem?

I sincerly hope that, because that would save me a lot of trouble.
