trying to make a divx ultra dvd from dvd videos and am wondering if I should compress them in virtualdubmod or if divxauthor reencodes them so I shouldn't compress them?

No-one seems to be able to confirm one way or the other, however the time it takes Divx Author to process the videos certainly seems to imply it does re-encode.
