For a stand-alone, there must be a PBC created. This PBC consist of 1 or more menus with links to your "audio-tracks".
Don't thing a audio-vcd is the same as a conventional audio-cd. You can't use the Next-button (unless the PBC was created to do so) to switch to each track. Also you can't use the numeric keypad to jump to several tracks (actually chapters) at once, unless each track has a selection-list that enables the numeric usage (pointing to each track).

  3. Thanx for the advise, but my mail was somewhat confusing.i created a vcd with easy cd creator 5.02”s vcd creator using a simple video sequence options. I selected 12 mpeg video clips and inserted the same in the menu in the start sequence. I created the disk by track at once method and finalized the vcd. The problem is that the vcd runs ok on a computer but in a standalone system I cant skip the tracks. Pl. help

A few further words, after 'Nero'.

You didn't state what was the source for the videos you're using. Were they captured by you? Were they encoded by you? Were they downloaded, perhaps?...

If the latter, then they just may be non-compliant for VCD. They might have a different resolution - say, 320x240 instead of 352x240 or 352x288 Which means they were encoded with 'play on PC' (1:1 pixel aspect ratio) in mind, as opposed for a TV (less or more, depends if you're suing PAL or NTSC).

VCD which such files, will still play on PCs - if the player has the codec, it will play the file, no matter what resolution it is; A standalone player might be more picky.
