    hi everyone im just looking for some opinions on some good free burning software i can burn my video files with, i used to have nero but lost it when i reformatted, i convert my files with x2dvd but when i try to burn with it the dvd never gets reconized, if anyone could point me in the right direction id be very greatfull

    It is purpose built and lacking in all the bloatware that has become Nero. The author only has concentrate on making it the best burning application around, instead of having to also work on audio editing, DVD authoring and 57 other poorly implemented functions. Nero used to be good, then it got too big and the team spread to thin to focus on core functions.

    Finally, Imgburn actually burns your discs in a compliant manner, which Nero doesn't do.
