  1. this question probably applies to many printers that print on disc, but don't have a tray that supports "hockey rink" shaped business card CDs. is it possible to print one on this printer i have? it does allow for normal mini cd-rs, but not odd shapes.

  2. I have the 5360. I can print anywhere I want using Photoshop.
You just need to make a template for the correct size. Then you just tell it to print to a normal CD/DVD.

BTW, my printer came with a 80mm flip over included with the DVD tray

The nice thing about the HP is that it's not limited in the print area. The bad thing about the HP is it's not limited in the print area

That means if your template is wrong, it'll print all over the DVD tray. I found that out while testing a bunch of labling programs...I now just stick to printing right out of Photoshop now. 1 file to deal with and that's it

cool thanks. and if you were using a business card rink cd, would you line it up a certain way? yes mine came with the flip down too but the discs i have are an odd shape

  4. If it's round, it doesn't really matter

Now if it's those CDs that are flat on 2 sides, I would make sure the flat sides line up with the top and bottom. Then make my PS template the same way.

  5. it's this shape:

i guess it will be a bit of trial and error, and a bit of cleanup from getting ink on the tray

  6. Yep, those are a bugger to get right in PS.

I would probably use a labling software program...However in my case I never found one that actually printed right, like the one included with Epson. That's the main reason I print directly from PS.

It would also be easier to create a PS template in Illistrator

I would start out with a 80mm CD, it that's the actual size. Then I would chop off the top and bottom
