Are there any free programs or within Nero 6 that will record video that's played by clicking a URL and then burn that video to DVD that will play on a DVD player? There are 3 videos each about 30 minutes long I'd like to record.

I just discovered right clicking the URL gives option to "Save link as" with HTML Document as file type. The saved file can then be played by double clicking it which answers the recording question.

Now the question is will the HTML Document files play if burned to DVD that will play in a DVD player, or does it need to be converted to another file type before burning to DVD? Also can all 3 files I wish to burn to a playable DVD be burned to the same DVD?

All that did was save the URL as a link.

You have to download the actual video(s) first. This is very difficult from some sites, easier from others. Try Orbit, Replay Media Catcher, KeepVid.com, RealPlayer, etc.

Realplayer will give you the option to record videos being played back via web links ... then theres Orbit

2nd, most likely need to be converted ... super, formatfactory ... others, will depend on format and conversion process required (especially fps conversions)

3rd, yes ... dvdflick will do a simple job of all three to dvd

I already have Realplayer, but I get "Unable to establish a connection with the server" message when I paste the URL in the Realplayer windows to open. Can you tell me how to use Realplayer to record videos, or is it simpler to use Orbit?

Edit: Orbit saves the files as php files, but neither dvd flick nor Super find any compatible file types. Are there any other programs that will convert php files, or is there a way to get orbit to save to non php file type?
