I am converting an AVI file encoded with divx/xvid/mp4 into mpg format so I can play with my DVD player. I use Mainconcept (trial version) and got 2 problems
1 - The output file has a Mainconcept logo at upper left corner. How can I remove it? Will it show if I use the pay veriosn?
2 - The audio is a bit out sync and stutters a little.
I am new with this forum. So suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.

	Welcome!

FAVC, DVD Flick (both free), or ConvertXtoDVD (trialware), are easy to use for AVI=>DVD conversions

	1) no you can't easily remove the logo. no it won't be there if you buy the full version.

 2) convert the audio separately from the video, it may be vbr mp3 and no video encoder like that for a source.

or like poisondeathray mentioned, convertxtodvd does a stellar job converting most types of avi to dvd. cheap money for what it does. drag just about anything into it, press convert and it produces a dvd.

 Welcome to the forum.
I would go with the earlier suggestion to use FAVC
 Brilliant program, and its free.
If you can already play the avi file then you should already have the required codecs installed.
If not, I use K-Lite codec pack.
Also check you have Avisynth v2.56a or later installed and .NET framework Version 2 installed, details are on the FAVC homepage.
Goodluck and let us know how you get on!
Hope this has been of some help to you.
Also just came across this guide if its any help to anyone:

I do agree with what your saying but, with that many different codecs used, its a pain looking for and installing a codec everytime when something does not play.
So I'm basically lazy and install k-lite codec pack, some of which I will probably never use, but now all video and audio files I use play. The installer does let you chose a minimum install too, so you can cut some stuff out you don't need.
