    Hi, folks.
Apparently I've screwed something up! For a long time, I've been recording tv shows on DVD-RAM (VRO files) and then converting them to a regular DVD, like so: I use Streamclip to demux the VRO to m2v and ac3 files, then use IfoEdit's "DVD Author" feature to convert the m2v and ac3 into VOB, IFO, and BUP files. It's easy and it works perfect. Except that now it doesn't work anymore. After I get the m2v and ac3 files, I can play either one of them by double-clicking it. The video and audio are both definitely there, so I guess Streamclip did its job okay. But after IfoEdit creates the DVD files, I get audio only when I try to play them. (By double-clicking on any of the individual files.) Does anybody have any idea what I've messed up, and how to undo it? Bear in mind that I know next to nothing about this stuff; the process I use was given to me by somebody else here on this forum. So use small words, please.
    Thanks

Well, either the situation has changed, or I was very careless in the beginning! This is what's happening now:

The videos I make the way I described will play with Nero or WinDVD; they just won't play with Windows Media Player.

(I could have sworn I tried Nero and WinDVD before, but...) Any other videos will play fine with WMP, and files that I rip into the computer from store-bought DVDs will play with WMP. The only videos I can't play with WMP are the ones that I've recently created from a DVD-RAM (VRO files). I can't find any options, settings, etc, in WMP that look like they could cause the no-video problem.
Does anyone have any ideas about this problem now?
