    So I've already got the conversion covered. I do wmv/mov/etc -> MP4 -> flv

BUT, the flv file doesn't have the correct properties to allow seeking. I have tried everything under the sun and can't get it working properly.

I'll pay well, but you need to hit me up ASAP!

    Thanks,

Hit me up man. I don't really care about the payment amount, I need this done immediately.

Give me an amount on AIM. I'd prefer to pay after it works. If you show me a working version on your server then I can do 50% upfront.

Okay, 2 people have attempted with no such luck.

Anyone actually know how to do this? Hit me up ASAP. I'm going to order on2 if no one can help.

    Thanks,

  6. 1) open in avidemux

    2) auto=>flv, (this will preset for h.263 flv video, and mp3 audio in a flv container)

    3) configure your bitrate/quality by pressing the configure button in the video sidebar

    4) configure your audio bitrate quality by pressing the configure button in the audio sidebar

    5) press save with extension (e.g. "myfile.flv")

Note there are different kinds of .wmv and .mov - they are just containers and can contain different types of audio & video codecs. If you have a problematic file that this doesn't work on, use an avisynth script and frameserve into avidemux using avsproxygui.

If you still can't do it, upload a sample and someone will have a look at it.

EDIT: If you meant "seekable" as in playable in an embedded website before completely downloaded, then this is a server side problem. You have to enable progressive streaming or RTMP server side streaming.

    Cheers

What software are you using to encode? Are you using progressive or streaming server? Give us some more details about your authoring and server environment...

Normally, you have to set keyframes in order to be able to make a seekable/scrubbing video. The more often your keyframes, the more granularity you will have in the scrub.

In Sorenson Squeeze, there is a setting for "Keyframe every" and if you want to be able to scrub to every frame, you have to enter 1. The downside to this is that the filesize will go up with more keyframes. Normally I will use a setting like 15-30 that will keep the filesize down but allow scrubbing/seeking in .5 - 1 second increments.
