  4. Does windows see that a disc is inserted?

Have you tried data recovery software, such as isobuster?

i have one dvd disc with 16x speed,
    flowerhorn writes second
my disc type is CD-R 16x
So which is it? A cd or a dvd?
What speed did you burn at? Its generally a bad idea to burn a 16x dvd at 16. What did you burn with? Did you really burn only 400mb to a DVD? To a CD is ok. To a DVD is not if my memory serves me correctly. I seem to recall that there is a minumum.

    We want information Information INFORMATION

And this time non contradictory so don't switch between CD and DVD as if it was the same thing. Be specific. Give details. What burner? What are playing it on? The burner or a stand alone player? Was it a video, if so what kind? No we don't care what kind of porn it was. Just the format.

well, well, it was a CD-R with speed of 16x on it. i don't remember which software i burned those pictures on there, but should be a nero. anyway it is CD, not DVD. The cd has no scratch on the base no dirty thing on it, i can only read afew on it, and very slow, like i should have a picture with size about 400mb but i only copied out like 20mb, the rest of them were disappear. so do you have any good suggestion.

Yes. Get a newer CD-R and burn it again. Where the heck did you find a 16X CD-R these days? Even the CD-RWs are faster.

I have a suspicion that you deleted the files without testing the disc. Otherwise you wouldn't be asking for help. Get a file recovery utility. Don't use your hard drive in the meantime. Yes I know you have use it already but the files may still be there.

When I asked for more information it was for a reason. You haven't given anywhere near enough. Most new posters don't. So everyone that tries to help has to make a bunch of wild assed guesses. I find treating it like a detective story helps. The witnesses rarely tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. In this case I have come the conclusion that you asked for the wrong help. File recovery is the answer if my guess is right.

A 16X disc may be too old and too slow for your PC. By calling it a DVD it sounded like it was a new disc and you didn't say diddly about deleting the files. So the people who tried to help were wasting their time. Even after I made it clear what sort of information you should be giving you only gave one tidbit. So in the future when you want help:

    We want information information INFORMATION!
(quote from the start of the classic TV series The Prisoner)

Otherwise those trying help are just pissing in the wind.
