I have been compiling a dvd using Any Video Converter PRO, and Pinnicle Studio 9. The finished DVD plays fine on my pc's dvd players. But when I play it on my dvd player hooked to a TV or my friends dvd players hooked to their TV, it lags some. I converted all files to mpeg 2, at video bitrate 1800, video framrate at 29.97, and audio bitrate at 128. I then made a movie project with the converted files in Pinnicle, and then proceeded to burn to dvd as dvd disc.

Like I said, It plays perfect on my laptop and desktop dvd drives, but on any DVD players going to a TV it glitches and lags..............

I have tried EVERYTHING I know, PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks!

    What was the source ?

I suspect that the software you have used has done a very poor quality conversion from either 25 fps source, or 23.976 fps source. In fact, the whole process seems convoluted and fraught.

If you must convert between formats, use something reliable like FAVC to do the final encoding so the format conversion is done correctly. Only material shot on video should have a framerate of 29.970. Most other source will have a lower framerate.

There were many sources. Some video taken from a dvd camcorder, some videos downloaded from youtube and converted from flv to mpeg 2, all files eventually converted to mpeg2.

My main question is, why is it playing on pc dvd players and not normal retail ones? Is there something that a TV cannot digest that a pc can somehow? It is burned to a dvd as a dvd.

because the software on the PC is more forgiving, more tolerant with out of spec files than the DVD hardware is
