DV TO DVD and HDD TO DVD

Hi ,
I have an LG RH 399 DVD recorder and have been struggling to record contents that are on the Hard disk drive to a DVD.
Furthermore when I connect my Panasonic Mini DV Camera via a firewire cable I am cannot see the picture on my TV nor am able to record direct to DVD.
Please help.

TO record from DV to DVD via Firewire make sure you have the proper line-input on the unit selected. You'll know you have the right input if you see the picture on the connected TV. If in doubt, press zero on your remote (if any luck it will go to the dv input, if it doesn't use the ch down . If you're having problems recording from HDD>DVD check with the manufacture for compatible recordable disc versions (2x 4x) etc.
