Photo slideshow

Any software suggestions,where I can make a photo slideshow with added text and background music,which,will play on my standalone DVD would be very much appreciated.A "fancy" turning of the slides would also come in handy

use any editing program such as premiere, add transitions and music. than output to mpeg2, author and burn

so i'm guessing that what you want is some kind of photo album like it writtten just a bit to the left, you know in the author section of the site. you wanted extra info right? you checked that info already?

I want to add text to the actual photo,so when viewed on the TV the text will appear with the photo

I read under the authoring section how to create a slideshow using the trial version of Ulead's DVD pictureshow. The setup and the production of the slideshow were excellent, however it would not play on my VCD capable Sony DVD player. Try it on your machine the program is free and easy to use. If anyone knows why I can play it on my PC DVD drive and not my standalone please help>

you should be able to read VCD on your Sony...but try cd-rw media rather than cd-r.
