ok i have lord of the ring on vcd but the sound is very low
i have split the audio from the video
but do not know how to increase the volume
can any one help

You need to get yourself a wave editor like Cool Edit. The one in Nero will probably do as well.
Just strip out the wav file using Virtual Dub, open in Cool Edit, click on transform and then amplify. Put the volume up by 450% and hey presto.
Btw - despite my best efforts I still have not been able to remove the humm that is audible on that copy. It seems that every time you get close to eliminating it, you start losing/distorting sounds that you really need. -
I have the same VCD, how do you split the audio from the video? And how do make it a WAV?
