I'm running it now. I like the new remember password popup at the top.

seems a little faster loading pages than 2. i just wish more of my plugins worked. i really miss my all-in-one-sidebar and a few others.

Updated versions may be available that will work with FF3. (Some extensions/plugins' newer versions were also designed to work with v3 and on only, so earlier versions of FF wouldn't see them as updates and download/install them.)
However, Mozilla's servers may be a bit overwhelmed for the time being, and this seems to extend to the Addons site. You can try having FF check for extension updates, now that you're running 3, but it (unfortunately) may be better to wait.
Is this the homepage for AIOS? http://firefox.exxile.net/aios/index.php (I've never used it.) If so, it mentions version 0.7.6, released today, will work with FF3.
For other extensions that haven't been updated for FF3, you can also install Nightly Tester Tools or MR Tech's Local Install; those extensions have a feature that'll let you bump up the max version number in an extension so that FF won't complain about the extension, and you can see if it works properly/the same as it did before. If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? -
ali haibara - thanks, that is the one. ff3 couldn't find the update, but getting it direct worked fine, installed and running.

Updated on all my PCs and my laptop.
It is faster. Some plugins don't work. One is necessary for my laptop, I hope it's going to be an update soon on that one, 'cause I'll have to return to ver 2.
The new version seems that use less memory, or it does a better job on this.La Linea by Osvaldo Cavandoli

FF stinks, IE is much better.
I tried this new version, it still stinks, In my Oppinion -
looks like they squished the memory leak bug for ff3. i've been sitting on 6 active sites and it's holding at 100mb. ff2 would be heading toward 600mb by now.

And yes, I have updated to version 3 today. So far my only issue is losing Tab Mix Plus.
FF2 never got above 130 -- 160 MB on my systems (both XP and Vista machines), regardless of how long it had been open or how many sites I had going together.Read my blog here.

still missing tab mix plus, master password, and chroma tabs here.

For Tab Mix Plus, go to the TMP site's forum and download the latest dev build from http://tmp.garyr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7031 . It's supposed to work with the 3.0 builds. I'm not sure about 3.0 final, as I haven't installed it yet.

thanks again. tab mix plus latest dev build works with 3 final, well all but the find updates part but i guess that's part of a dev build...

I gave up on Tabmix a long time ago. Just use the standard stuff now. That being said I've been using teh beta for a while now and the final version which i've now installed on all 3 of my computers is pretty awesome.

I support Abortion and Self-Euthanasia
And this goes offtopic. Calm down and stay with the FireFox chat. -
I guess I am also too stupid to be allowed to live (or perhaps too old/visually impaired/monitor under-endowed?) for preferring IE7 to Firefox 2.
I wouldn't say Firefox stinks (I did use it at times) but IE7 was definitely a better choice for me.
I found the memory leak issue to be annoying, but the main reason that I preferred IE7 was the "Change Zoom" feature, which was far more important to me than anything Firefox offered. (I still haven't found a Firefox plug-in I really want to use and I'll still be running security programs in either case.) I think there certainly could be some other reasons for someone to strongly prefer IE7, though I don't know what they are.
I am using Firefox again to see how I like it now that it has been improved, and the issues I had with it seem to have been corrected. The only problem I have found on my system so far is that it is incompatible with the AVG 8's Safe Search plug in, something which I hope will soon be addressed by AVG. -
let's not kill the thread with usual IE vs FF debates
IE7 isn't bad as a browser (I love the layout - it's thin without 100 stupid toolbars taking up 1/3 of the top screen area - its very similar layout I am using on my K-Meleon 'skin' for years). But it buggy and have more security holes than good swiss cheese, so whats the point to use it? I don't get it... but then people also use "smoke & mirrors" antivirus software that doesn't catch all viruses and they think its all fine because their half-good antivirus didn't alarm them...
I dare to say FF2 was a stinking crap.
Bloated, slow, resource hungry and just plain bad.
And I'm saying that as one of the early FF users since early beta versions up until version 1.0 (after that it already started to stink and I switched back to K-Meleon).
FF3 seems leaner, but it is still bloated and so resource-unfriendly after you load it with set of just basic plugins that every user should have (adblock etc). In a longer run I think it'll probably stink as bad as FF2 did unfortunately (1.0 -> 1.5 gained so much unneeded bloat, while 1.5->2.0 was incredibly huge "upbloating" of this once lean and fast browser from versions 0.x)
Having a bug (hole) found in just few hours after its release proves only it was yet another half-baked rush release.
All jokes about euthanasia aside - in so many years I know so far only one single web browser than didn't have and still don't have ANY security holes yet - Mozilla K-Meleon.
Perhaps some of you want to give it a try:
