    Not sure what you're looking for here. The pics do not lend themselves to imagining a moving video. You want each block moving independently or you want the frame appearing over the stick man?

    If the second, it's called overlaying a mask onto the picture. If you want each section moving, that's pretty much just traditional animation.
    Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

    Overlaying a Mask eh?

    I think it sounds right.

    Basically imagine the full image was a video of someguy running in real life.

    Then certain sections of the video will appear in a creative way.

    Think of an invisible rubber and it cleans out the black colour and reveals the video.

    Would that be called 'Overlaying a Mask'?

    I would think so. Or maybe several masks. It could aslo be done picture-in-picture.
