hello to everyone i am doing a video for my vacation and the menu
i would like to doing with motion background i uderstaing how to do it
what i don't know is how to the lettlers in motion i esplaing i want the background video run for
a few seconds then play movie,scene selection, ect fade in after the video is tha posible to do
for authoring i have tmpg 03 and adobe premier elements 4
i thank you every body for your help on this matter

To do what you want is possible, but you will need a good authoring software.
You can try DVD Lab Pro, it will do everything you are asking for.
There are other software, but usualy come with limited menu selection from a template.
You have to prepare all the clips before import to DVD Lab.
DVD Lab has an ability to render motion menu from your video. -
DLP will let you do what you want to do using menu cells, which will allow you to set a loop point in the menu. The menu plays as an intro, then once the text has faded in you can set a point so that at the end of the clip the menu only loops back part of the way.
If you want to use something like tmpgenc then you will have to split the clip into two parts - the intro, and the menu. You play the intro as a clip, then link that to the menu. You will get a slight pause between the two events.Read my blog here.
