Ive got an old 50ux22b hitachi today . The owner said they removed the anti glare screen for whatever reason . The picture looks good except for the red/green/blue lights burning the retina out of my eye sockets . I tried the convergence correction but that didnt do crap . My guess is that the anti glare screen might be important on an older projection tv . Where could i find one if they are still made and is that the reason ? thanks for any help .

The "glare screen" is typically just a protective cover for the actual TV screen that the image is projected onto. This prevents damage to the actual screen and easier and cheaper to replace when damaged. It shouldn't affect the actualy display.
