You would have to provide more information for anyone to be able to provide much help. What format is the video? And I'm not sure what you mean about a 'live link'? Do you mean a link to the internet or a link to some other file? Can you provide an example?

I'm guessing it may be some sort of video for the web?

Either way won't work, the best you can do is use a watermark with the website.

Actually, I think ASF (and likely, WMV/WMA) do allow for the loading of a page when the video is played (I believe it automatically has the page load in the default web browser). I don't know how it works, though - for all I know, it'd try to change the page on which the video is playing, while it's playing. Or maybe it can be set to call the page after the video's done playing.
However, keep in mind that it's not going to be a clickable link, and a forced page call like this can also annoy people who are viewing it.

A Flash video (SWF, not FLV) or Director movie (DCR) should allow for clickable links, but you're probably looking for something that allows for links in digital video.

Nope, you can't put a link in a youtube video as MOVIEGEEK says. Put it as a logo or watermark.
