Is there a code that can get rid of the feature that stops any dvd from playing at the copyright message or any of the other area's so I can Fast forward straight to the menu or movie.

    Thanks for any help

They are called Prohibited User Operations (PUOs) and I don't know of any way to make your player skip them other than to rip the DVD, strip them out, and burn a new copy.

There were a few hacked firmwares on very old DVD players like Sampo and Apex that could skip these, but given that most current DVD players don't have hacked firmware available, guns1inger's suggestion is your only option.
The only recent DVD player that I've ever heard of having hacked firmware is the Philips DVP-642 and this hack was specifically to provide Divx subtitle support for certain punctuation characters in the Portuguese alphabet (ie. ^, the cedilla and so on) that weren't supported otherwise.

Some players allow you to "skip" the previews and whatnot. Try pressing stop as the disc starts to load and then press the menu button.

Many recent Panasonic players now have hacked firmware as well. For some players, these functions are very advanced like the ability to disable Macrovision, more playback support (MPEG) and a lot more. All hacks disable the region coding and UOP's. This one of the first a brands that feature hacked firmware (some Pioneer models have hacked firmware as well).

You can find the firmware here: http://www.dcevolution.net/panasonic
