Forgive the novice nature of this question. But I am used to using Ulead Video Studio 9 to make very basic DVD's of old stuff I have on VHS. I have since upgraded to an iMAC and I am about to embark on a project for a friend. I was just wondering, after I create the project, will I be able to make chapters on a DVD I burn or would that entail another program like a DVD creator type thing.

The hard drive on my PC that had VS9 crashed, and I was thinking about getting it again since it was so easy to use and did what I needed at least for this project.

    Thanks

I can't speak for FCE, but in it's bigger brother version,
    FCP ( Final Cut Pro):

DVD, QuickTime movie, or podcast. QuickTime Player can interpret any text track
containing time stamps as a chapter track. In some cases, the different kinds of
markers you export may be interpreted as chapters in QuickTime Player, even though
they are not really the same kind of chapter markers as used by Compressor and
DVD Studio Pro. Compressor and DVD Studio Pro can both read chapter markers
    exported from Final Cut Pro.
so, check you manual for what you can do upon export to
Quicktime movie, but it will take DVD Studio Pro to recognize
    the Chapter Mark content.
