    MPG audio stopped playing on my machine. Windows media player plays the video but not the audio. Adobe Audition can't find any audio to import. VOB and AVI audio plays fine.

    The only thing I did recently was install an upgrade to Quicktime. Can anyone help?

    MPeg1 or mpeg2 files?
    What is the audio codec in your mpg files? mpeg1 layer2?
    Use mediainfo if you don't know.

    I would try uninstall quicktime and see if it make any difference.
