  1. Hello, I have a Pioneer DVR-531H-S, and Dish Network. I cannot get the Pioneer setup menu to come on screen. Here is what I am doing:

    1. The Dish Network cable runs in from the outside, into the "in" on the dish receiver,
    2. I run a coax cable out of the receiver, and into the "in" on the back of the 531H-S,
    3. I run a coax from the "out" of the 531H-S, into the television.

Now, I can see the Dish Network channels just fine. The signal runs into the reciever, out and through the 531H-S, and into the TV. I am able to change channels with the Dish Network remote. That much looks and works great.

Problem is, when I turn on the 531H-S, no setup menu comes up or anything. I can still see the Dish Network channels, but the 531H-S does not show up on screen.

I know the unit works, because I had it set up once before. Then someone staying at my house screwed around with it, and now I can't remember how to get it up again. Please help!!!!

    Thanks!
    Chris

No DVDR shows anything internal thru it's coax out (menus, tuner, HDD, DVD).

You just need to install a line output to your TV (Composite, S-Video+L/R Audio, Component+L/R Audio, or HDMI, whichever or all if your TV has inputs for them). Then just select that input on the TV to see internal DVDR stuff.
