Sony DVP-SR150 Region Hack Required

Hi

We have just got a Sony DVD-SR150 DVD player.
We would like to hack it so it is region free but cannot find any information for this model.
Does anyone know of a hack for this player?

Are you sure it isn't multi region already? Many UK stockists are selling it as region free.
If it isn't already multi region, then I think you'll be out of luck, because an after-sales remote control to hack it (even if you could find one) would cost £20, which for a £30 DVD player would seem pointless when you could buy a brand new multi region DVP SR150 for £40 from Amazon or Richer Sounds.

Yes, I am sure it is not multi region, I have tried a region 1 in it.

Phil - Sony and Samsung players around the world are the most difficult to unlock. In the future if you want a region free player you'd do well to avoid both brands.

Maybe someone will post a hack that works but most of the time when you have to ask because you can't find one on the internet, it means that one doesn't exist.

Many thanks for your replies. I do not know why they bother with region control these days.
At least I can use a decrypter and copy them to a DVD-RW to watch.
