    Hi.

I have just received four DVDs from a friend of mine, which include more than 12 hours of footage of a conference, over four conference sessions. They take a lot of watching to get to the portions I am interested in and it would be much better if i was able to reproduce the DVDs, with chapters which I could then navigate to for ease and speed. I guess a bonus would be to also have a menu which I could also use for navigation purposes. Can anyone suggest software (free or commercial) that could do what I have described above?

    Thanks
    Paul

Ulead DVD MovieFactory is easy to learn and use. The "canned" menu options work well. Author your dvd's to folders and burn using imgburn.
As I have learned from this forum, invest in good media, such as verbatim.

TDA <- (Click the link) is the best and easiest for starting out and works extremely well.
You can preview with sound and scan through to set chapter points anywhere you want, ect ect.
