    Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me, I need a hack to make the Vistron DVD-026HD multi region. Bought the player from ebuyer after reading a review that said it was R0 straight out the box, well it aint! lol.

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135105

I have found some info that says these players are very very similar to yamada players. When you enter set up, highlight preferences and press 8888, you get a message that says 'Region code 2', but I cant change it. Someone please help!!

    Many Thanks in advance!

The link you provided makes no such claim. Guess you put too much faith in the review. If the review was made by a buyer, do note that many consumers are absolute idiots when it comes to electronics and I've seen all kinds of wild, unverifiable claims made. Some years ago on an Apex DVD forum I got into an argument with a guy who swore that an Apex model would play DVD format discs burned to CD-R. He was just adamant. I told him what version of the firmware I had and asked him what version he was using and he said "I don't actually have one, I just read that they support it". They didn't, yet that didn't stop him from insisting that a DVD player he had NEVER used or own could do something it couldn't do. Some idiot may have played a region 0 disc on the player, assumed it was region 1, and wrote that the player shipped region free. Unless the manufacturer makes such a claim or you have many such claims that seem to be legit, you need to be careful about this stuff.

A Google search on your player turned up NOTHING except your post here! You may be out of luck here. All players can not be made region free.
