    Hi,

I've been trying to edit a movie for the last past days. I am overwhelmed with the options so I'd like somebody to help me get on the right track. First I have a movie on one disc and a second with the deleted scenes. I'd like to edit those scenes into the final movie. So far I've been using the Womble MPEG video program and tried to edit the VOB files directly. This resulted in streamed mpeg2 and AC3 files with audio out of sync with video. I don't know what to do about that, maybe I'm just taking a wrong approach here. Should I convert my vobs to avi first for editing sake. I've been looking at different guides and forums topics but there's just too much info to make any sense. Could anyone help me find a starting point here.

    Thanks in advance.

    Coolme

Convert to mpeg and then edit. AVI is the long way and a poor way.

Mpeg video wizard should be able edit vobs. You could try use vob2mpg and then import the mpg in mpeg video wizard.

Other tools you can use is Tmpgenc DVD Author and Videoredo.

    Hi, thanks for the answers.

I've already tried other mpeg editors, cutters and joiners like tmpeg dvd author and mpeg editor, VideoReDo.
I get about the same results with the difference that the A/V sync problem occurs at different positions. I will try converting the vobs into mpeg first and see what happens. I'm suspecting windows or something system related could also be the problem. I restored Windows to a fresh install but the problem persists.

See if the problem occurs after trying either SUPER and/or WinFF to convert the vob files to mpeg. You could also try the demo/trial of Ulead DVD MovieFactory.
