  1. Hi

I have been ripping for quite a while now. I use claddvd to rip and then dvd2avi and tmpgenc to create an SVCD.

I have just tried this recipe with Swordfish (PAL), but when I look at VOB files I can see that the Audio starts from the beginning but the video is all over the place. Seems to jump about everywhere.

Anybody know what causes this and how I can get around it?

    thanks

  2. I don't know the reason, but I can highly recommend using SmartRipper instead. I've had other types of ripping problems (especially with multi-angle) that went away when I switched to SR, and it's work flawlessly for me ever since.

  3. I ripped and created a PAL version VCD of "Swordfish" last night, using the same method as yourself. However, i used Smart Ripper. Encountered no problems.

  4. yes go with SmartRipper becuase CladDVD can not rip Movies that have multi-angel options..thats why you get jumps or repeats of the same scene or if you still want to keep Clad programs you can use CladMdec which is designed to rip multi-angle Movies

As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
