I export avi file from premiere pro 2, but it is very very slow to export just 9 minutes video.
If I drop frame rate 24 to 12, would it faster to export? Or should I resize to smaller size when I export?

Perhaps you should consider upgrading your system, or export it overnight when you are sleeping. If your computer details are accurate, a Celeron D and 712 Megs of memory will make things very slow for most video editing tasks

If I upgrade cpu and memory card, would it be faster??? When I play video in premiere pro, it can't play smoothly, stop and play repeatedly..

What kind of cpu and memory card do you recommend??

Give us more detail on the video formats you want to export. You should be using a 3MHz or better for DV/DVD formats and Core2Duo for HDV.Originally Posted by yunakokimama

You need an all new computer for Premiere Pro although you can limp along with your Celeron D.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

My computer is built custom. (I bought custom computer from EBAY) so I can replace CPU and video card, memory card and ram.

I want to export AVI video and DVD format video for DVD.........

What is the speed of your Celeron D? You can upgrade to the fastest CPU your motherboard supports or get a Core2Duo capable motherboard. RAM for XP should be in the 1-2GB range.Originally Posted by yunakokimama
