I export avi file from premiere pro 2, but it is very very slow to export just 9 minutes video.
If I drop frame rate 24 to 12, would it faster to export? Or should I resize to smaller size when I export?

  2. Perhaps you should consider upgrading your system, or export it overnight when you are sleeping. If your computer details are accurate, a Celeron D and 712 Megs of memory will make things very slow for most video editing tasks

Give us more detail on the video formats you want to export. You should be using a 3MHz or better for DV/DVD formats and Core2Duo for HDV.

You need an all new computer for Premiere Pro although you can limp along with your Celeron D.

What is the speed of your Celeron D? You can upgrade to the fastest CPU your motherboard supports or get a Core2Duo capable motherboard. RAM for XP should be in the 1-2GB range.

What is your current display card?
