  1. My two cents worth. Have tried Ulead, Premiere, Studio7, and MGI's software only to have crappy video and audio out of sync no matter what I tried. I can say that after using either VideoFactory or VideoVegas my nightmares and gray hair will cease ( well at least the nightmares ) but these products are a dream come true. Easy to use and not a simple sync problem and video is VHS quality in mpg1 format. I reccommend everyone to download their demo's and give them a try. Quit screwing around with bit rates and motion selectors.

I've personally come to love sonic foundry products. I've beta tested some of their stuff and use sound forge for audio stuff. They make some great stuff and very solid.

  3. I have been a Sonic Foundry lover for years. I first fell in love with them with Sound Forge. CD Architect was my second favorite program in the world, as it was the first CD Audio program to allow me to create track marks anywhere I wanted them to go. I got VideoFactory last year and as soon as Vegas 3 was released (and only for $125 to VideoFactory owners) I jumped on it and have been on cloud 9. The supplied MPEG-2 encoder (This doesnt come with the crack versions) is super fast and great quality. I still usually save my projects down to AVI and use TMPGEnc's 2-Pas VBR. But if you gonna use CBR or make a VCD the supplied encoder is great!

    Barney,

Not to mention an illicit topic, but there is a certain type of "program" out there that does enable and open up all of the Mpeg capabilities. Just an FYI for you. Thanks Bud
