  1. I have just about got to grips with this VCD business thanks to some great help from everyone on VCD Help but I am desperate to do one thing.

I just want to record my VCD's/SVCD's onto video tape through my standalone player.

My player is a Cyber Home AD-M512 and it plays everything but I can't seem to be able to record. Somehow a friend of mine got it to work with the same player but with real difficulty. I would be more than grateful for any suggestions.

    Thanks!

Sounds like you would need to hack you DVD players firmware to remove MACROVISION.

But why would you wanna put DIGITAL viedo on a ANALOG tape?

Try DVD HACKS to the left, then search YAHOO groups as well.

not knowing much about your problem, here is a solution that worked for a friend. if he pluged the dvd plyer to the tv it worked, if he went to the vcr it works he could plug the video and audio into his reciever and it worked. so wat we did was plug it into his reciever and then rca to his vcr. then it would work. for some reason it knew when it was connected to a vcr. but now it works. if your home audio reciever has video in plug it in there and try that. if it plays to the tv from your reciever than it should play to your vcr from your reciever to.
