Thanks for the current reply. I have tried to playback the "broken" FLV movie clips with the suggested VLC Media Player v 0.8.6e. Well, the clips do contain errors in pixel/frame (broken, stagnant/not run well), even cannot be played back at all. Is there any freeware that can fix/repair such problems without having conversion to MPEG?

    Thanks.

Unless the errors are caused by something simple, such as a bad index, you are unlikely to be able to do a lot of good. You might try AVI Demux.

I've had success using WinFF to convert FLV to MPEG-2 DVD spec files but then again the original FLV files played A-OK before hand so it's not like WinFF "fixed" anything.

The nice thing about WinFF is it is a very simple to use GUI for ffmpeg ... just drag and drop the files into it and select your output and hit GO.
