FLV clips that only contain a video track and are downloaded from YouTube inevitably crash Quicktime - not even the player window will open/i just get the 'unexpectedly quit' message.

    No problems however with:
    - FLVs containing video and audio
    - FLVs containing video and NellyMoser audio - despite the fact that Perian can't handle that audio codec yet/only video will be played.
    - FLVs containing only video, when i have transcoded the file using VisualHub.

I've uploaded a test file to YouTube, downloaded and attached to my post so that you can check for yourself.

Now i'm curious if it's only me having this issue or if that is a general problem. BTW, with the older Perian version those video-only clips played fine. But the ones coming with NellyMoser audio wouldn't launch.

My system: Dual G5, Mac OS 10.4.11, Quicktime 7.3.1, Perian 1.0

I get the 'unexpectedly quit' message on your FLV, too.
    Mac OS X 10.4.11, QT 7.3.1, Perian 1.0.

Thanks for testing, Case. It's still hard to believe that a video-only FLV file generated by me does play fine. But a video-only FLV file downloaded from YouTube will crash Quicktime. However, after your verification, exactly this seems to be the case.
