I am having an issue. I am using the latest version of DVDFab, I am trying to convert my DVD movie to Divx. It works fine but my audio/video are out of sync. However I only noticed this on dual layer dvd's only. It works fine on DVD's that are single layer.

Do I have to set a bitrate setting or sound setting to get them to sync up proper?

    Thanks...

Please wait some days before bumping a topic. Not 14 minutes! And I'm moving you to the DVD to AVI section.

  5. It might help if you can narrow it down to where the problem area is:

Does the DVDFab video files play in sync on your PC? Does the error occur here?

What software are you using to convert to DivX? Does the error occur here?

Of does it occur after your burn? If so, what software? What burner? What discs?

How new is the Dual layer DVD? i.e. has DVDFab been updated for that movie yet?

Is the sync problem constant? e.g. 1 second all the way through, or does it gradually get worse?

Yes DVDFab VOB files play smooth on pc.
I am using DVDFab to convert to Divx. I get no errors.
I am not burning it, just converting onto HD.
The Dual Layer DVD some new, some old.
The sync problem is all the way through the movie.
    Using latest version of DVDFab.

I have only noticed this with Dual Layer Original DVD's when trying to convert to divx.

  7. Perhaps I didn't use the correct wording.

At what stage of the workflow does the sync problem manifest itself?

You said "no errors" and "plays smooth", but does the VOB have sync problems or only the Divx?

If VOB is fine, try using autoGK or virtualdub to convert to DivX => does the problem still occur?

You can easily fix a constant sync problem with virtualdub. Just add 1sec delay or -1sec delay etc...

Its the divx file itself that has the sync issue. The VOB's play fine. I havent tried autoGK or virtualdub.

The Divx movie, the sync problem is all the way through the whole movie.

  9. So it sound like the problem is narrowed down to the VOB=>DivX conversion step?

Why don't you give autoGK a try, it's very easy to use. If you want to configure more complex settings, try virtualdub or MeGUI
