I have ripped a few dvds with the intent of backing them up. They are couple of seasons worth of a tv show and a 3 disc history channel series. I ripped them with mtr and use toast 8 for the burning....
24in imac intel 2.4ghz
sony and tdk dvd+r dl
rip w\ mtr
burn w\ toast8 using the video ts option
slowest burn speed
When i try to play the discs back on any of our dvd players or on my imac, which are all dvd+r compatible, everything works fine up until i select an episode from the "select episode menu." Everything just stops after that. I don't know if it a region or rce issue. I dont really know what is going on seeing as how this is my first experience with burning dvds. I have researched a few different forums and cant come up with anything on my own. If anybody could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated. Im about at wit's end. Thanks guys

DJ, did you try playing the VIDEO_TS folders in DVD Player?
I suspect they'll die on you.
Why give us a Toast version number and not one for MTR?
We have to guess. My guess is that you are using the free
version 2.6.6, which is rather long of tooth and can't deal
with the newer copy protection schemes.Al Bloom
