Newbie to digital video, but I've been doing pretty good converting the old VHS tapes to digital video with the Canopus ADVC110 and I'm using Roxio Easy Media Creator 9.1 as the capture program. BUT, I've had a refurb JVC VCR (HR-S9600U) for a while that has a tape transport problem--it eats tapes and is erratic on audio. I now know why it was a return, and I kind of got ripped paying $400 for it. However, it plays an incredible picture! There is just no comparison to any other unit I don't think. I'd sure like to use a good unit like this to capture the video from the VHS tapes. Anybody have a 9600/9800/9911 unit you never use?

    Thanks,
    Endzone

Your best bet would be to look on eBay. I've seen some one sale there once in a while, just have to keep checking.

Yeah thanks. There is one on there now I'm corresponding with the guy about. I remember a few years ago they were selling used on Ebay for $350. I think lately they bring between $150 and $180.
