karaoke info needed

I was just wondering is there such thing as karaoke cds ?
if there is what are they (i no what karaoke is) but do they play lyrics on tv like karaoke machine does in night club. Why im asking is that my dvd player has karaoke functions on it, but im none of the wiser on how to use them, Where do i get the cds from Or can i d/l them off net with cable net ? if so do you no where to d/l them i just want to try these functions out. u no how it is new toy want to no everything it does etc etc...

To make your own Karaoke check out Dart Karaoke http://www.dartpro.com/index.html

It isn't that easy to make your own karaoke, it actually kind of sucks to be honest. Might be easiest just to purchase a couple of Karaoke CDs. Walmart carries a few, and you can always order on line http://www.soundchoice.com/.

You can burn your own Karaoke CDs, but they require a compatible CD Burner read up on the format here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karaoke
