Hey all, I realize this isn't particularly a camcorder or video camera forum, but not being sure where else to post, perhaps you folks would be able to point me in the right direction.

    Here's my issue:

I was just given a Sony Sport CCD-SP7, and in my ignorance, appears to be in very good condition. But the main question I have is where on earth can I find a manual for this camcorder? I have come up dry on a lot of Google searches, and forget it from Sony's site. Every Google search is just inundated with Battery packs for this unit, and that's about all.

Also, what exact kind of tapes do I need to get for it? I was told there are "Hi-8", and some standard 8mm. I don't know what this camera takes.

Any help or leads of any kind will be greatly appreciated!
it has an A/C adapter (US style), which has a battery charger as part of the whole plug-in unit. I thought that was pretty ingenious on Sony's part to integrate that into the power supply line. neato man. I plugged it in and powered it up and, without a tape, all the non-tape requiring controls seemed to work fine. If that helps any.

Huge thanks in advance for any help!
    Chuck
p.s. sorry for posting this where here if there was a more appropriate site or forum. (I am including a photo from Google Images for reference. I only have the camera and A/C adapter, which has an intelligently integrated battery charger as part of the power supply line. I like that. that's neat.

That may be a sports model of a CCD-TR700 camcorder: http://129.33.22.12/release/CCDTR700.PDF

The serial # and other info label is usually on the bottom of the camera.
