Any idea who makes ELIT (not Elite) DVD players?

The brand "Elit" (NOT "Elite") is very common in Bosnia-Herzegovina, with the company mark found on DVD players, TVs, air conditioners, kitchen appliances, etc. I have an HDMI-upscaling DVD player made by them, which is surprisingly good considering it was only 50 euros. I would like to see if there is any firmware update for the player, but there is no website or any other company info. I assume all of the company's products come from a mass producer in China, and they just stick the brand name on. Does anyone have any experience with their DVD players, and know whether there is anywhere to find updates or support?

Never heard of them. You can sometimes get a clue by checking the label on the back/bottom of the player and/or opening the unit and checking inside.

As for the firmware issue, upgrading typcially isn't encouraged unless there is a specific problem/issue that you are trying to correct and you know a new firmware will solve it.
